Friendly, bi-weekly inclusive football sessions

The club provides fully inclusive football sessions, run by experienced coaches with disability football training.

The sessions are fun, free and a great way for footballers of all abilities to get together, practice some skills and get involved in some mini-matches.

Boys and girls, aged from 6 up to 21, with any kind of learning or physical impairment, are welcome to join these friendly sessions.

We train on alternate Sundays, at 3:30-4:30pm at Roundwood Park School on their 3G pitch.:

Can I get involved?

Yes! We would encourage any parent who wishes to coach or to help the club with various roles to get involved. We currently have coaches for each of the squads but are always looking to get new volunteers to assist the club. We can also provide details on various FA coaching courses if they wish to get some more formal training. All coaches are DBS checked.

Jos Sharp

Inclusive Section Officer

Jos has been involved with the Inclusive Squad ever since it was introduced by the Chairman of Harpenden Colts in 2015. The Inclusive sessions were developed to ensure that all children in Harpenden who want to play football have the opportunity to do so, in a low pressure environment.

Jos was involved initially as a parent of a player, as her son has some physical disabilities which make it difficult for him to play in a mainstream setting. She then took on communications for the Inclusive sessions for a year or two, before taking on the role of
Head of Inclusive Football for the club.

As well as being a member of Colts’ Football Management Committee, she also represents the club in the Herts Youth Inclusive Football group, helping to increase opportunities for children in the county with physical or learning impairments to play football.
